Brain Rehabilitation; The Complex and Integrated Treatment - Online in English
2 daysup to 20 participantsPresentation language: English
The workshop is designed for professionals working with patients who have cognitive impairments resulting from brain injury. It provides practical tools for developing and implementing a treatment plan. These tools enable the therapist to use clinical reasoning to determine the most suitable treatment activities for the individual patient, the necessary prompts to provide, and the expected outcome of the rehabilitation. A model is presented for integrating different kinds of treatment activities and achieving generalisation and transfer of the skills treated.
Learning goals
- • The participant is knowledgeable about the model for treatment planning.
- • The participant can analyse performance during activities and the associated communication.
- • The participant is knowledgeable in retraining cognition and the facilitation of the different performance or communication skills.
- • The participant can select the appropriate treatment activities, arrange them in an appropriate sequence to achieve generalisation and transfer.
- • The participant can provide the correct information during each treatment activity.
Accreditation and certification
You will receive a certificate after the workshop. This workshop has no specific accreditation.

- Break
- A model for the complex and integrated treatment.
Day 2
- The first step of the treatment plan; treating the complex skills, providing supportive information and transferring these skills to other activities. Practicing in groups using case studies.
